What does it mean to be a member?

The Chamber will act as a contact and information point for businesses and community groups interested in commercial relationships between Canada and Portugal, and between Canada and the United States.

Our services will be available to businesses and organizations from any Portuguese-speaking country or community interested in the Canadian market, in cases where local Canadian representation such as embassies, consulates or chambers of commerce are not available in Canada.

The Chamber is committed to:

•  Promoting Portuguese exports within Canada.
•  Facilitating increased demand for Portuguese-Canadian products and services.
•  Encouraging direct investment into Portuguese and Portuguese-Canadian businesses.
•  Supporting the internationalization of Portuguese-affiliated companies.
•  Promoting Portugal and Canada as tourist destinations.
•  Encouraging cultural exchange between Canada and Portugal.

The Chamber is a member of the Association of Portuguese American Chambers of Commerce (APACC). The Chamber is closely affiliated with the Consulates of Portugal in Edmonton and Toronto. Close links also exist with the Embassy of Portugal in Canada and with the Portuguese Trade and Tourism Commission (AICEP) in Toronto, Ontario and Lisbon, Portugal.
