There are many challenges facing Portuguese-Canadian owned and operated businesses.  Many of these are similar to the challenges experienced by businesses across the broader Canadian economy.

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) reports that the shortage of skilled labour is the most significant factor limiting small business growth.

The CFIB also reports that the largest input costs limiting business growth are related to taxation and government regulation.
